So, you think you know everything there is to know about L.A., huh? Not so fast! You know the Hollywood sign, the Lakers, and the traffic, but do you know about a community of outstanding testers in L.A.?
Ubertesters is the largest community of professional testers, scattered across all geographies. Today you will get to know one of L.A. testers – Reshma.
Reshma is 31 years old and from Los Angeles, California, USA. She did her graduation in commerce and has around 8 years experience in QA/testing. She also has completed ISTQB certification from American Software Testing Qualification Board.
Reshma joined Ubertesters in November 2014. Before that she was working full-time as software QA Engineer.
Reshma has a strong QA experience including both automation and manual testing.
“I have good exposure to full development lifecycle – from requirements through post-release phase.” – says Reshma.
She also has a strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skill with solid project management capabilities.
Traditionally, we asked Reshma seven questions that we and some of our clients wanted to know.
There are quite of few exciting project that I have worked in Ubertester QA career, but to mention one, there was a project where I had to test an app on different public wifi, so I have to travel different public places like libraries, Starbucks etc carrying my devices to run my test cases.
There was a bizarre bug where it would only show up in one particular iOS device but wouldn’t replicate on different iOS device.
Better time management, It helped to use it in my day to day life too.
There are many benefits, to name a few I get to work on different projects on various platforms which helps me to learn and understand new technologies and always keeps interested.
I get to work with highly talented team members where we share our knowledge with each other. And to add a cherry on the top, you can work from the comfort of your home and define your own work hours.
One quality that a tester should posses by default, is to pay close attention to detail and a tester who lacks it, I would say he/she is a bad tester.
I would love to work in a job in which I can work both by myself and with others to achieve the end result. I am very self-motivated so I am interested in working in an atmosphere where I can continuously learn new things and improve my skills.
It is the best place to work and all the testers who are just starting their career here, I would say that it is the best decision that they took to join Ubertesters.
