Bug reporting tool

An in-app bug reporting tool gives a tester a chance to easily report a bug exactly when it is found. Forget about long email conversations when you are trying to get more details from your testers. When the issue is reported using Ubertesters, you’ll get such critical information as issue details, device model, OS version and other critical data automatically.

The process of submitting a bug is very simple. Click on the Ubertesters orange button within the tested app and select ‘Post an issue’. In the open dialog fill in the Summary and Description page, select Priority and Severity level and attach the screenshot if needed. That’s it - the bug is reported and the results are immediately available within the Ubertesters bug submission software system.

Screenshot editing

If a tester wants to bring something important to your attention or emphasize a UI issue, he or she can take the screenshot and edit it during the bug submission process. The Ubertesters screenshot editing tool allows you to highlight the important things with color and shapes. A tester can also add some text there or crop the picture.

Video Recording

Video recording tool that gives you a rare
opportunity to record the app’s behavior

It is a known fact that sometimes the text bug description, even with the screenshot, is not sufficient to understand the cause of the problem. The video recording tool can tell you much more about it. The unique video recording feature of the Ubertesters tool gives you a rare opportunity to record your app’s behaviour during the testing session. Now everything is on the surface - just look through the video attached to the reported issue, it will show you what buttons were tapped and what pages were visited including a detailed “heatmap”.

The video recording feature is easily activated within a few seconds on the tester’s device. Tap on the Ubertesters button and select ‘Profile’ to enable it. Once done, the last two minutes of the testing session wivll be attached to the reported issue. In case of a crash, the video will be automatically sent along with a crash stack trace, so you do not need to worry that something will еbe missed.
